General Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Bajoria's  Response
first of all control your diabetes after consultation with diabetic physician.no doubt diabetic leads to so many complication during pregnancy. With properly controlled diabetes, one have good result.

Miscarriage, growth restriction, growth acceleration, very large babies , excess liquor and birth defects.

Birth defects are not common for the child of women with gestational diabetes, since gestational diabetes occur in the latter part of pregnancy, where vital organs have already developed & taken their shape.
For women with diabetes mellitus, pregnancy can present challenges for both mother and child. If the woman who is pregnant has diabetes, it can cause early labor, birth defects, and very large babies.Disclaimer
