Im a 48 year old women,I have chronic pancreatitis , and have had two bouts of acute pancreatitis recently when I had ERCPs,with the last ERCP i had sphrincteotomy..since then I am still nauseas, losing weight, stomach pain, and so very very tierd, all day,i sleep well and am needing up to 12 hours sleep a night but i cant have them at the moment as taking care of my mum and dads dog and hes old so have to be up early...so i am tierd during the day, exhausted. I only feel like eating sweet things only,no im not a diabetic. I have had neutropenia and with my AP developed low neutrophills..0.92 and they let me leave hospital. My neutrophils have come up to 1.82,a month ago but so very tierd and sick and I have run out of options as I dont think another ERCP will be done as I keep getting AP,so i need help please, as i cant go on like this anymore..

hi

You will have to shun liquor and fatty food. There are herbs which raise immunity, stimulate liver and reduce inflammation. Indian goose berry and herb called GILOYA, raise immunity, while there are number of liver stimulating herbs but bhoerwia diffusa acts as liver stimulant, slight diuretic and anti inflammatory. Maintain your Hb. level by having balanced and light diet. I hope your pancreatitis responds to these drugs.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic Forum

The symptoms you have are obviously due to dehydration and lack of food as well. So the first thing to be done is increase intake, sensibly.
You havnt mentioned what kind of sweets you are taking...
But simple sugars can be digested by the body here. Simple carbohydrates like bread will be tolerated. Fat-free milk with sugar, soups, soft cooked rice etc can be taken, adding slight condiments for a better taste is adviced.
Please make sure your diet is free from fats/oils as they wil not be digested .
Avoid alcohol, non-veg or animal proteins for now.
