I Am Having 3rd Stage AC Separation And A Fractured Pelvis. Is It Advisable To Take Pain Killers ?
I fell off a motorcycle twice in 9 days, and landed on the same shoulder and hip both times. I have a 3rd stage AC separation and a fractured pelvis. When I asked for some painkillers at the ER, they treated me like a drug addict (most likely because I am young) -- I am in agony and without a general practitioner , what can I do??
Dear Andrews,
I am not sure which doctors refused giving pain killers to you and why, but pain needs to be controlled especially when you have a fracture. You need utmost care in a secondary or tertiary hospital setup. Pelvic fracture is an emergency as it can cause lot of bleeding.
