I Am 9 Weeks Pregnant And Doctor Prescribed To Take Neogest 200 Mg. Is It Safe To Take ?

Hi... i am pregnant with 9 weeks and my doctor prescribed me for taking neogest 200 mg twice a day... does it effect my child in any way.. i found in google that i causes some defects in the child if it is used. please let me know.

There is some foetal risk using this drug but if it is a must and unavoidable then taking some risk it is ti be given.
Your obst prescribed this medicine inspite of knowing the fact,there should be reason behind it.
Nothing to worry,remain in touch with your obst and frequent ultra sound.

Neogest is progesterone.It causes these side effects when given in the initial months of pregnancy.
It is used to prevent any miscarriage.Its usage is not mandatory though. Please do not worry about its side effects .In your womb all your baby`s organs are formed now , so these effects will not occur.
