Hypertension,inspite Of Medication BP Is Not Going Down

my mother is a hypertensive, but inspite of medication, her bp is 180-190/100-110 mmhg, how to test if she is suffering from renal parenchyma disease,blood test - kidney function test are within normal range, pus cells in urine today 6-10,renal doppler 18 months ago-no stenosis

The causes of hypertension are age;mental stress;renal arterial stenosis ;phaeochromocytoma .Some people have long standing Hypertension which at times is difficult to treat.Firstly you did not mention what medicine she is on .Different people respond well to different medicines so either she may require a change of drug or she may require to take more than one drug ;or she may not be taking proper medicine which i don't think is possible but please do ask her .
