Huge, Raised , Red, Circular Skin Rashes. No Itching. Ideas?
Raised red circular type skin lesion/rash? Not itchy, didn't even realise it was there until yesterday and it's huge ! Thought it was a bruise at first but on closer inspection it is not. it is a slightly raised skin surface and slightly darker then my skin tone as I say not itchy or annoying in anyway except its huge and ugly ! What the hell is it ! It is about 6" long and 2 1/2 " wide it is a sort of broken wobbly semi circle
Hi i think the lesions are typical of pityriasis rosasea.it is a viral infection caused by picornia virus.it is preceded by cold and cough .it presents as circular red non itchy patches with scaling at margins .there is one large patch called mother patch or herald patch and others are smallleer patches .it should be differiated with secondary syphilis.it shiuld be treated by antibiotic and application of calamine in the morning and flutivate ointment in the night
