How To Withdraw From Syndopa?

Sir,my father is taking syndopa plus 125mg from past 1month half tablet four times a day.started for stiffness of arms,legs and neck.diagnosed as drug induced parkinsonism.he is schizophrenic patient.used medications for 40years.now his stiffness improved. physiotherapy is going on.can syndopa be slowly tapered?

Dear patient
Drugs should not be stopped. if symptoms are controlled.dose can be tapered gradually only under observation of treating physician. Sudden stoppage may lead to worsening of symptoms
