Homeostatic model assessment (HOMA) is a method used to measure insulin resistance and beta-cell function. HOMA2 is a newer version of the same.
It is possible to determine insulin sensitivity and beta-cell function from fasting plasma glucose and Radioimmunoassay insulin, specific insulin, or C-peptide concentrations
