How To Treat Yeast Cells In Infants Stool?

My daughter has abundant yeast cells in her stool. She had an amoebiasis last week. She had metronidazole iv via soluset treatmnet for 1 week and her pediatrician ordered metronidazole orally as her home meds for 10days 3ml every 8hrs a day. No amoeba seen in her stool exam today. What is the medication for yeast cells for 7 weeks old baby. Thank you

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Yeast cell presence shows towards fungal infection.
So for the same reason treatment with antifungal will be required.
There are oral preparations available in form of solutions for antifungals like ketoconazole or fluconazole.
But you will require a prescription for the same. Kindly ask your pediatrician for the same as it needs dosage adjustment according to weight of baby.
