i have this long thick hair and it is not the shiny and bouncy type, it's kinky and the strands are thick and it goes down to my waist now. whenever my hair dries or every night i touch my scalp and i feel this wet stuff and gritty stuff in my scalp it does not smell good -_- is there something wrong with my scalp? head? and another question i have pimples on my back :( i don't like it. is it because of my hair? please answer doctor :D i would really appreciate it thank you very much :D
I would keep a possibility of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp along with acne.
I would suggest you to use an antidandruff lotion e.g 2% ketoconazole shampoo, thrice weekly.
Along with that I would suggest that using a coal tar+steroid+salicylic acid in lotion form, at night for 2 weeks, to loosen up adherent crusts/scales proves beneficial.
Since dandruff is a recurrent problem, therefore she needs to use an antidandruff shampoo regularly, at least twice weekly for maintenance of improvement.
Regarding acne, I would suggest topical benzoyl peroxide % gel twice daily over the back.
