How To Treat Violent Cough With Green Mucus That Does Not Drain Completely? Doctor Suspects Tracheitis
Doc says I have tracheitis. I've been coughing up green mucus but it hardly comes all the way up for me to spit it out. Everytime I lay down I cough violently! I just had some garlic honey tea and the cough is still there. Everytime I cough i feel either my adam's apple or something beside it get sorer and sorer. What to do. I need rest

Thanks for your query.
It seems that you have got bacterial infection and possibly pseudomonas. You must get a chest xray done and have some expectorant to loosen you r viscid sputum. You can also try steam inhalation. Here a course of antibiotic is a must...Postural variation of cough may be in unilateral bronchiectasis, lung abscess or pus in pleural cavity....
