Hi, My doctor said my son (1.6yrs old) has umbilical hernia symptoms and asked to go for a surgery. My son s naval has protruded little bit. Please suggest me if I go for surgery or we can wait for some more time to get the problem settled on its own. Thank you for your help. Regards, Sreek.

Better you go for surgery.. There is nothing option other than surgery for umbilical hernia. Consult a good pediatric surgeon and go for surgery
