How To Treat Tinnitus Caused By Ear Injury?

Hi, I went to the doctor the other day with really bad pain in my ear, and he told me I had a wax buildup and gave me olive oil drops and antibiotics just in case I was getting an infection. That same night I slipped when I was putting the drops in and accidentally stabbed my ear with the dropper. It was very painful when it happened, but it just aches a bit now. But now I can t ear out of that ear, except for loud ringing and I can hear my heartbeat in my ear very loudly. It feels like there s a cork in my ear. I was still using the drops, but they re not helping and I get a weird crackling sensation afterwards.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

As per your details, I opined that you have got injured your ear drum. you need to re evaluate with same surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Mean time, do not allow water to go inside the affected ear.

Hope, I have answered your query, all the best, take care.
