How To Treat The Holes After Tonsillectomy?

My daughter had a tonsillectomy that resulted in 2 perforations through the tissue that remained after the tonsils were removed, with both holes on the same side and appear to be at least 1/4 inch long...and you can see the back of her throat through these holes. It has left her with a thin string attaching the near the uvula. Food occasionally gets stuck in these holes. My concerns is if the string is snipped, or the back wall of her mouth continues to deteriorate, will this cause any problems, such as difficulty swallowing?

Welcome to health care magic forum,
After tonsillectomy perforation or hole on tissue with a sting attach to uvula is a rare problem.

What i understand it may be a skin tag may be attached after improper or incomplete removal of tonsil. Which should not cause any related and specific problem.

So avoid see through it regularly to avoid anxiety .

I would advise to see the concerned surgeon as early as possible to remove the tag .

Thanking you.
