How To Treat The Fever Related To Bartholin Cysts?

Hi. I suffer from bartholin cysts and I have one that has been draining for about 2-3 weeks now. I've been doing sitz baths and doing everything I can without having to see a doctor and with the use of home remedies. I don't think it is infected because I am not in any pain, but I have been running a mild fever. Is it normal for these cysts to drain this long? Will asking my doctor for an antibiotic prevent this bartholin cyst from getting infected?

Hi,
As you get fever with sore Bartholin cyst indicates that you got infected Bartholin cyst.
Anribiotic will give short time relief but there is always recurrence.
consult Gynaec and get examined.
It should be excised with sac to get complete cure.
Ok and take care.
