How To Treat Swollen Gums After Wisdom Tooth Removal?
I got my wisdom teeth (all 4) removed on Thursday and now saturday my lower left gum is swollen and white. it doesn t look like its a dry socket but it isn t flat like all my other spots. also my left side is much more swollen than my right side? what do you think could be wrong?
Swollen gum and cheek is a common finding post wisdom tooth extraction.. At times some extractions are difficult and there is more tissue trauma.. It causes more swelling.. So do not worry as gradually the healing will proceed the swelling will subside.. You can take a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and serratiopeptidases.. Also do cool compresses over the cheek.. Do warm saline gargles.. If you do not see improvement in 3-4 days or if there is worsening then you can consult your Dentist and get a clinical examination done..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
