How To Treat Swollen Eyes?

My left eye have been swollen for 3 days now. At first, I thought it was a sty but no bump on my eye lid. I don t think it s a pink eye because I didn t have any discharge until this morning, but it s not massive, just an average discharge. My lower eye lid is swollen and it s red. Also it is accompanied by headache the past days.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an internal hordeolum( internal stye which may not show any external bump as it could be more diffuse). Apply external heat in the form of warm compresses, for 10 minutes, thrice a day for about a week. If it still continues to persist then it is better to consult an ophthalmologist for a closer look and start of oral antibiotics.

Regards

Dr.Anupama
