How To Treat Swelling And Bruise Of Wrist Due To An Injury?

I banged into a door frame with my body, direct impact to my left top side of the wrist. It hurt extremely bad but no immediate swelling. A slight bruise. That was 5 days ago. Today I noticed my wrist has swelling and is painful to touch. Could I have a blood clot or something else? The swelling runs along the top inner vein.

HI
Well come to HCM
If the swelling is still there and this is because of the injury then chances of fracture may be likely and this need to be ruled out and for that it advisable to get done the x-ray of wrist, till then you can try anti-inflammatory drug and best option would be "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day, hope this information helps, take care.
