How To Treat Stomach Burn?

I've been having issues with a burning stomach and I went to my local GP, she told me I have too much acid in my stomach and has given me ranitidine (I think its called) as an anti-acid. Two times a day for a month. It's been two days and now my bowel movements have become loose and I've still got a terrible burning in my stomach. Should I go back to my GP?

Hi..

Thanks for contacting HCM for medical query..

You had burning sensation stomach diagnosed to have acid peptic disease and prescribed medicine for it,ranitine.

Your problem now is loose stools..

Actually acid peptic disease, ranitidine usually does not cause diarrhoea..

Look into number of loose stools whether watery and leading for exhaustion..

If no ,help yourself with bland frequent diet and probiotics. Take lot of fresh fruit juices with no added sugar, tender coconut water etc..

If exhausting diarrhoea ,go back to your GP for a in person opinion..

Hope this helps you..

Take care..
