How To Treat Sore Throat And Chest Congestion?

I tried to do the symptom section, but I think there is an issue with the site. I had a sore throate starting a week ago last wednesday. Last saturday night, it turned into mucus in my chest. This last wednesday night my stomach started feeling upset..Ive been dry heaving off and on ever since and my stomach hurts incredibly. i have had 3 ulcers for over a year now that I've been taking meds for, I think that is what is acting up, but I'm not sure?!?!?!

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you have COMMON COLD causing you the symptoms of sore throat and chest congestion..

Pain in stomach can be due to the flaring up of the ulcers and you need to consult your doctor to get evaluated.

For relieving the cold, congestion and sore throat you can do warm saline gargles.

Throat lozanges can be helpful.

For congestion taking pseudoepharine containing medicines can help but should be taken only after consultation with your doctor.

As these features are of viral infection antibiotics will not be effective as it can treat only bacterial infections.

As in ulcers of stomach NSAID's (Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs)like Ibuprofen are not indicated they should be avoided.

Steam inhalation using eucalyptus oil in water can be relieving.
