How To Treat Side Effects Of Wintergreen Grizzly Smokeless Tobacco?
my husband is trying to cut down and eventually quit smoking and he tried wintergreen grizzly smokeless tobacco yesterday and it seems to be eating away at his gums. He says his lip has skin coming off where he put the dip and he said it's deep. It's like a pale white almost like leukoplakia but we looked it up and looked at pictures and he says that's not it. Should we take him to a doctor? I have no money and no health insurance so doctor's have been refusing me and I have ovarian cancer.
Leukoplakia does not develop after just one day of use. It is most probably just an ulcer caused by irritation from the tobacco. Ask him to avoid using it and try to use other methods to quit smoking. Nicotine patches may suit him better. If not, just ask him to gradually reduce the number of cigarettes he takes every day and the number of puffs from each cigarette. If he can manage this, he will be off cigarettes in a few weeks.
Best wishes.
