How To Treat Severe Pain In Right Ankle Caused After Foot Injury?

Hi, I hurt my foot in tumbling class last week and again this week. It hurts on the outer part of my right ankle. It has been bothering me for a week and I think I made it worse tonight. It hurts when I stretch and flex it but there has been no swelling or bruising, what should I do?

Hi.

I am sure it is not a fracture, but an xray or at least a physical examination by a doctor will be required. As for the foot right now, purchase an elastic bandage and apply it over the affected foot. Ice pack to the region for 2 days and then a warm pack to promote healing. Keep the foot elevated mildly, not much as there is no swelling until now.

Best wishes.
