How To Treat Severe Incontinence?

I have severe incontinence -- since approx 2005. I have now developed severe external itching -- it is making me crazy! It used to be that a little aloe Vera lotion would quiet it, but no more. I ve tried BALMEX, GOLD BOND MEDICATED POWDER, other lotions, and even just plain cornstarch ( which is the best of all above) but nothing lasts for long. This is the most intensive itch I ve ever experienced. I change the pads as soon as they become damp. Is there anything Thant can clear this up?

Hi welcome to HCM...

Your problem : urinary incontinence

Here you are also having itching problem so infection like UTI ruled out first ....

Investigate with ....
1.Urine sugar , protein , RBC estimation
2.Urine microscopic examination
3.serum creatinine and urea
4.Urodynamic study (to rule out stress or urge incontinence )
5.USG with reporting of post voidal urine

If still needed cystoscopy useful ...

Kegel exercise help as it improve pelvic muscle strength ...

Biofeedback , pelvic floor muscle exercise and electrical stimulation might useful ...

Avoid stress. ..
For infection antibiotic given. ..

If detrusor instability means urge incontinence than oxybutynin can given.

Obesity , smoking , constipation like condition also lead incontinence. ..

Consult nephrologists with keeping this in mind ..
