How To Treat Red And Swollen Ear With Yellowish Pus Discharge?

My 2 year old was bit a few times on the ear. It is red and swollen with clear and yellowish pus. All doctors are closed for today. Could you tell me what I need to do? I gave him Benadryl since it looks like a reaction to the bite. It didn t help the swelling go down. He said it hurts to touch his ear

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms could be due to otitis it can be manage with antibiotic ear drops and oral antibiotic and the best option is "Ofloxacin ear drops" and in oral antibiotic "Sulfamethoxazole+Trimethoprim" dose need to be adjusted according to weight, (5 ml twice in day is ideal dose) still I would advise you to get done the ear examination because it could be changed according to clinical findings, hope this information may helps, take care and have a nice day.
