How To Treat Possible Meralgia Paresthetica Which Causes Tingling, Burning, Numbness Under The Skin?

I have been diagnosed by my doctor as having Meralgia Paresthetica. I have a few questions. The pain I am experiencing is not just on the surface of the skin such as tingling, burning, numbness, etc.. I also have deep pain within the outer thigh and is very painful upon pressure or when the leg is bumped. If this is indeed the diagnosis, is there a cure or even a surgery to fix this disease. I have been going through this pain now for over a year. Last December I raised up from a lying down position and felt a 'pop' in my leg and sudden numbness with extreme pain. This has not gotten any better with conservative treatments. Can you help me with this and if there is a surgery to repair, do you know of any and where?

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
Meralgia Paresthesia is best treated by use of drugs like Pregabalin , Duloxetine.
And correct posturing while sitting , avoiding cross leg sitting.
You should be sure if it is meralgia paresthesia, you should write to us in detail , since when you are having it , and what treatment you have taken for it.
I would like to help you further with the details i have asked.

Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion.
Good Luck.
