How To Treat Painful Cough And Nasal Congestion?
Ive had a cold for about 5 days now and Ive been taking all sorts of medicines and ive tried a netti pot. My fever is down but I cant seem to get rid of my stuffy nose and sore throat. I jjust woke up and my throat is much worse. Whenever I cough it really hurts somewhere in my heart. I went to the doctor yesterday and the strep test was negative, and he said its just a common cold. But it the painful cough something worse? and how can i treat this?

i understand from your history as it is allergic after viral attack as allergies take 3 week to go.i can suggest you to take anti allergic medicine like fexofenadine
for cough you can use cough supressent(anti allergic cough syp containing cpm and codeine)and for nasal congestion can use hypertonic saline nasal drops in nose
you need to wait for 3 week as this is the course of disease
