hello doctor, I am from India. My husband has a pain In lower right abdomen for past 5 days, we had done a CT scan.
The report says , he has a fat stranding adjacent to the ascending colon, suggesting it be a mild colitis. Is the stage is normal or serious condition? what might be reason for this? What medication can we take? How could we prevent in future?

Hi. What are the associated symptoms? Has he fever , vomiting or loose motions ? If this is simply a pain without any other symptoms , do not worry. A course of Antibiotic and Metrogyl in proper doses as suggested by your Doctor will be sufficient remedy. In addition simple precautions to help in future are - avoid outside food, Boiled ( 20 minutes) and cooled water, more of green leafy vegetables. I hope the CT Scan report shows normal appendix.
