I have been dealing with these oozing scabs on my scalp. They hurt sooo bad and throb. What am I dealing with and how can I treat them? Ive had culture tests which came out inconclusive and have seen a dermotologist and claimed it was pseriosis and gave me cream yet it didnt help at all if anything made them worse.
Hi. As per your case history you have scalp psoriasis with secondary infection. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the scabs as it will increase the infection. 2. Stop applying hair oil at present. 3. First we need to stop oozing. So use potassium permanganate in water in dilution of 1:10000 and apply gauze soaked in it on the oozing part. 4. Apply a topical antibiotic cream like fusiderm on scabs. 5.Once oozing stops then we can go for treatment of psoriasis that includes topical steroid lotion and salicylic acid shampoo.
