How To Treat Numb Thumb?

I have a thumb that is numb. I fell sideways and hit my neck on a counter top. Iy is very sensitive to cold and it takses forever to warm up, so I don t know iff it is a pinched nerve or a blood flow thing. I also have Type 2 Diabetes if that makes a diffence, Any Ideas ?

HI,
Seems you got yourself into some problem there, to start off you didn't mention any pain in the neck or shoulders, if that's the case then maybe your diabetes is the culprit.
Uncontrolled diabetes is one of the major reasons of mononeuropathy or neuropathic in general resulting in a condition like yours

Please consult your doctor and check for this conditions, if such is the case then earlier treatment is of utmost importance.
On the other hand, a simple X ray can rule out any injury caused by your fall
