How To Treat Nausea And Mild Fever Caused Due To Motion Sickness?

Hi! I went to Cedar Point yesterday with some friends, and today I m feeling pretty bad. Over the course of the day at the park, I had a headache which I think was probably due to dehydration and the bright sunlight, but I didn t feel motion sick or dizzy. After riding a couple rollercoasters, we took a long bus ride back home and then I went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling pretty nauseous and managed to get back to sleep for a couple hours, but all of today I ve felt exhausted and mildly nauseous, with a bit of brain fog and what feels like a slight fever. Is this normal? Was it just caused by dehydration and my brain/inner ear not being used to rollercoasters? If so, is there anything I should do to speed up recovery other than drinking fluids and getting sleep?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on the symptoms mentioned, you probably have a viral illness.

As you mentioned, rest and fluids would be important. It may be best to use small amounts of fluids frequently rather than large amounts at a time.

There are medications that can help to reduce the nausea if it is not bearable eg peptobismol or dramamine.

I hope this helps
