How To Treat Nasal Congestion And Itchy Throat Resulting From Dust Allergy?
I am a cleaner, i clean houses and offices 4 days a week which exposes me to a lot of dust. I have always had a bad reaction to dust such as dry, itchy throat, itchy eyes and sneezing. Since starting this job i have discovered that every time i bend over i get about 5 or 6 drops of watery liquid poring out of my nose. It will happen every single time i bend over. Do i need to see my GP for medication to help?
Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here
from the medical history you provided it is clear that most probably you have allergic rhinitis and dust is the main allergen triggering your allergy as your occupation doesn't allow you to keep yourself away from dust , it is important for you to wear a good quality face mask during work to protect yourself from dust and pollution
however anti allergic drugs will help you control the allergic reaction and minimize symptoms but u must visit an ENT surgeon to get it examine , he will have a close look into your nose and throat , of your allergy is so severe that it doesn't responce to medicines than he may offer an allergy test to identify actual allergens and based on the report u will receive Vaccination for a brief period of time
i would strongly suggest you to see a ENT surgeon to rule out any underlying medical condition
I hope it help Thanks & Get well Soon
