How To Treat Lumps In Chest Cavity?

Hello. I had lung surgery a few years ago, Pulmonary secretion. Lately ive been getting lumps around the surgical area in my chest cavity next to my xiphoid process and it feels like a cramp, but maybe a little more painful. Any idea what could be going on?

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Lumps in the chest cavity may occur due to bacterial superinfection, aspergilloma, tuberculosis and malignancy. You need to have a thorough look on it by undergoing a contrast enhanced computed tomography (CECT) scan of thorax and prone position scan especially to exclude aspergilloma. Consult a pulmonologist soon. Take care.
Thank you. Regards,
Dr Arnab Maji
