My husband had an episode last week (Tuesday)where he was shoveling snow and became lightheaded, had tightness in his chest, then after he ate, he threw up. I took him to the emergency room and they checked for cardiac problems: EKG Echo, ultrasound, bloodwork, and Stress test -- everything came back fine, and they released him. Since then he has had a little lightheadedness, but tpday he was confused for a short period. His PCP is going to put a heart monitor on him tomorrow. In the meanwhile, should we be concerned? He seems okay otherwise. He has a little bit of a high blood sugar count, but not yet type II diabetic, other than that, he is on lipitor, lowest dosage (1xday), and two baby asprin. No other health problems. Does physical work in his job, and is otherwise healthy.
