yes...... my husband has diffused large b-cell non hodgkins lymphoma.... stage 3... just finished r-chop chemo and did fine..... but 7 days after this treatment his side of the leg started leaking fluid clear..........it fills towels and towels.... what is this from????? and why and how do we treat this????
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
your husband has lymphatic obstruction and lymph fluid weeps out from lymph-filled vesicles . Lymphatic obstruction is the consequence of non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Symptoms can be controlled with a combination of elastic compression stockings, limb elevation, pneumatic compression, and Lymphatic massage (manual lymphatic drainage) and a course of antibiotic therapy. If there is no significant relief ,one has to undergo microsurgical procedures viz. the creation of a lymphaticolymphatic or lymphaticovenous anastomosis, which theoretically improves lymphatic drainage.Lymphoscintigraphy and Duplex Ultrasound of the limbs are the radiologic Diagnosis, one can undergo, before the surgical procedures.
