How To Treat Kippel-trenaunay-syndrome In A 10 Years Old Child?

My 10 year old son has kippel-trenaunay-syndrome,he was very lucky that the port wine stain on his head and face faided,but the rest of his body is ver mottled! He is also hyper mobile and has autism.his knees keep popping out of joint....is this going to get worse as he gets older?

Klippel trnaunay syndrome is a rarecongenital syndrome its extent can vary in each case.In this case as you said he is lucky to have his face clear.He can lead a normal life but he will be needing somesurgical treatment as timeadvances.The joint laxity can be dealt with surgically.The mottling of the skin can be removed by good plastic surgeons by serial surgeries step by step.The hypermobility is mostly because of the joint laxity.And the parents should support each other and learn how to take care of his autistic nature.There are special support groups that you can reach out to.
