How To Treat Kidney Pain And Frequent Urination?

I have been having a lot of pain in my kidneys. How do I know if it s a infection, stones, failure? The pain is high before urination or a bowel movement. Slightly goes away after but not completely. Frequent urination at night, every 40 minutes. Please can you help?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have kidney pain and frequent urination . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like pyelonephritis , urinary tract infection , kidney stones or bladder stones . I would suggest you to consult nephrologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound, computerized tomography scan or a type of X-ray called a voiding cystourethrogram . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , hospitalize in severe infection . Doctor may also recommend for surgery in case of stone or refer you to urologist in case of bladder problem .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
