my wife is suffering from hypothyroid and TSH >150, T3 AND T4 is also low.she is taking eltroxin 100 and shalcal M. right now she is having some pains from shoulder to elbow in both the hands and today doctor prescribed EVION LC TWICE A DAY. WHAT IS THE SIDE EFFECT OF EVOIN LC. PLS DISCUSS

Hello, Welcome to HCM Thanks for posting your query in HCM.I understand your concern.Evion LC consists of Levocarnitine as the active ingredient.It is mainly used for treating low levels of levocarnitine in the body and treating patients with metabolism problems that may cause low levels of levocarnitine.
As you are having thyroid metabolic problem,your doctor would have prescribed this.
It should be taken with caution if your wife is pregnant,or planning to get pregnant.Also if you have allergies to above ,be careful.
Possible side effects of this drug are: 1.bad taste in mouth, 2.diarrhea 3.nausea;vomiting 4.stomach cramps; unpleasant body odor; It may also cause severe allergic reactions in the form of rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest in some cases.
