How To Treat Heavy Bleeding?

I m bleeding so so much I feel like I m going to pass out. I m going through 2 pads(tampons) and hour and it s all fresh blood and has been going on for 3 days. I ve been to my ob/gyn and she gave me progesterone and it s not working. she said all i can do is go to ER, but that s not really a possibility. I can t sleep cause it s so heavy.

Thanks for asking Healthcaremagic. There can be various reasons for heavy bleeding. For example:-

1. Hormonal imbalance, particularly in estrogen and progesterone

2. Fibroids or noncancerous tumors of the uterus

3. Pelvic inflammatory disease

I would suggest to take tranexamic acid/mefanamic acid 500/250 mg twice a day for 3 days. I hope the bleeding stops. Please visit your doctor so as to make your proper diagnosis. Thanks and Regards.
