How To Treat Heart Problem At Old Age?

My 91 year old Dad has the following symptoms: head pressure (his term), blood pressure spikes, exhaustion, light-headedness. Doctors tell him he is excellent physical condition for his age. He recently had a CAT scan but does not have the results yet. Doctors have ruled out a heart problem. He is obsessed with his symptoms, makes several dr. appts. and has a lot of visits to the ER. He is under a lot of stress from his wife s medical condition (Alzheimer s, immobility, etc., etc.) and his daughter s negative, critical dealings with him. He did have a panic attack at around age 13. Thank you.

hi. Welcome to hcm..Your father needs an ECG 2D ECHO and regular blood pressure monitoring. Also get his lipid profile. If everything is normal you need not worry, he just needs anti anxiety drugs and counselling. Consult cardiologist for expert management.Thank you
