Erectile dysfunction is a common problem in men. It is related to deficiencies in hormones that cause erections, problems with blood flow to the penis, or neurologic issues that decrease stimulation to the penis.

A full evaluation should be done by a neurologist and endocrinologist to rule out deficiencies in nerve conduction and deficiencies in testosterone that can be corrected with surgery and hormone replacement, respectively.

Sometimes, psychological issues such as performance anxiety can be the cause. This can be treated with psychotherapy, or with medications such as Viagra or Cialis.

If premature ejaculation is the problem, you can delay orgasm with medications such as SSRI antidepressants.
