How To Treat Erectile Dysfunction While On Losartan For High BP?

Is there something besides Viagra, Cialis, etc. that can cure/help with erectile dysfunction? Pills do not seem to work. I do take Losartan for a mild case of high blood pressure. If there is, my nearest locations are Alice, Tx., Corpus Christi, Tx., Laredo, Tx., and San Antonio, Tx. Thanks, YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
I understand your concern. Many a times, erectile dysfunction is more of psychological problem than physical one.
Since you are giving history of blood pressure and in medications for it, it us better you avoid pills like Viagra.
You can try 'behavioral therapy' since you want to avoid medications.
Practice 'pause-squeeze technique'. It may take some time to show its effects. So have patience. It works in about 70 - 80% of men.
Gradually, with this technique, you should be able to get good erection as well as hold on longer.
Hope it will help you. All the best.
