How To Treat Erectile Dysfunction Caused By Trauma?

Hi doctor I am 39 yrs old , 6 ft tall and 80kg . Two yrs ago iwhile I was sleeping I stretched my body while my legs crossed which in turn stretched as my penis was between between my legs . I felt pain as if something cracked at the root of my penis, the pain eased gradualy but next night I had sex and after 10 minutes the head of my penis got swollen. Since that I have problem with erection and I have premature ejaculation. And my semen is more than before this happened, I have not seen a doctor about this, and I know I have see one soon or later. In your exprience could u tell how serious this kind of problem it can be , and wether any medication or surgery can bring it back to normality and how I was before this. I know you cannot diognise or treat me online. But I would like to know where and how that problem can be, based on the little information I gave you. And if you are thinking of any partiuclar problem what kind of treatment I would and how effective that treatment can be. Thank you.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi,

Your condition could have been caused by penile fracture. This usually happens when erect penis is forcibly bent or stretched. In this condition, the covering of penis, which gives its rigidity, is torn and blood leaks outside. If diagnosed immediately, it can be repaired surgically.
Yours must have been a very mild tear. How long did it take for the swelling to subside? Overtime, the tear heals, but it leads to mild venous leak which caused erection problems. This can be diagnosed with a penile Doppler test.
There are good medications for both erection problems and premature ejaculation. Please consult a Urologist for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wish you a good health,
Dr. Raguram.
