How To Treat Epigastric Pain?

Hello, My 20 year old daughter is c/o epigastric pain for past 24 hours. states the pain is under ribs, midline area. states she feels short of breath when walking. pain started after she had spicy food on Sat, and pain was constant through rest of day. states she had difficulty sleeping because of the pain. her bowels are working, she is lactose intolerant and had cheese and milk. no temp. no distension. should I take her in to an urgent care physician?

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your 20 year old daughter having epigastric pain for last 24 hours, under ribs, in mid line, shortness of breath when walking after spicy food on Sat and so on.
Yes, take her to Urgent care Physician for clinical evaluation, examination in general and of vitals and local and to get the investigations done as per the clinical findings.
She need to get started on a PPI like Omeprazole, antacid and Domperidone.
If no relief, then upper GI Endoscopy, X-ray of the chest to rule out lung and pleura problems, ultrasonography to see for under the diaphragm structures like liver, gall bladder and others.
This will give the exact diagnosis so that a proper treatment can be done for the cure.
No milk or milk products as there is a history of lactose intolerance.
