How To Treat Ear Pain Due To Adenoids?

Hi, My son is having ear pain with fewer 3 weeks back. He is a mild hearing loss then we went to ENT and after having an xray and ear test we found he is suffering from adenoids. He is on a continues cold since then. Doc written allegra and mucolite and a saline drop for his nose for 3 weeks but his cold is still there. Please advise what needs to be done. Doc suggested surgery also for treating his adenoids

Hi mam
Adenoids hypertrophy cause estachian tube block causing decresed aeration of middle air , and thus serous otitis. If ur child is having reccurent colds, ear pain & not responding to medical treatment better to go for surgery.most of the cases as age increases adenoids wil decrease in size & causing sontaneous symptomatic releif.
Thank u
