How To Treat Dry Cough?

hello. I have a horrible dry cough today. Its followed by a cold over the last few days. I get bronchitis about once a year every time I get sick. This cough has made me throw up twice today its so bad, I'm weezing and having a hard time breathing. I cant really miss work the next 2 days. Is it urgent to see a dr? Any at home remedies or medicine I can take with Prozac that might help?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Dry cough can be controlled by taking cough suppressant containing antihistaminic.
Saline gargles can also help to relieve the cough.
You can consult your primary healthcare provider for prescription of cough suppressant.
Bronchitis is a chronic disease caused by inflammation and narrowing of the airways, thus, bronchodilators should be used to reverse the dilatation of the airways.
Vomiting can be due to indigestion, gastritis, or some other gastrointestinal problem.
Wheezing and difficulty in breathing are associated with bronchitis and thus treatment of bronchitis will help to relieve these symptoms also.

Thanks and take care
