General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Antiinflammatory agents are given for arthritis fever and other symptoms.Another important thing is penicillin prophylaxis. Salicylates are used as effective treatment in rheumatic fever. In rheumatic fever joint cartilage and heart valves are equally at risk. So you should have a regular cardiac check ups at the intervals prescribed by your doctor. Let me know if you have any further query.
