Hello I am Dr Anand (Vascular Surgeon) from India. I am dealing with a case of Diabetes mellitus with huge abscess in thigh for which I & D done and presently infection is under control. Presently there is an extensive wound over his thigh. Will application of placentrex gel is of use?

I think if there is no infection, you can definitely try the Placentrex. It may be a perfect way to help the healing. In addition, to make sure that the infection does not settle in (considering the diabetes status, and assuming the patient is on insulin) I would suggest that you administer the insulin at the affected the thigh. That way the local sugars would be definitely controlled avoiding the infections.
