How To Treat Cramping And Pain After A Mirena Coil Was Fitted?
Hi I had the mirena coil fitted a week ago and it was extremely painful on insertion and i need local anaesthetic to the cervix. i have a retroverted uterus and a fibroid in the apex of my cervix, i was suffering fom heavy prolonged, frquent ( every 1 or 2 weeks( periods. since insertion i had the usual cramping pain but also have a sharp pain radiating into my groin and right hip which is getting worse and not relieved with ibuprofen and co-codamol. is this normal or should i be concerned? i have no discharge and have not bled since the day it was inserted.
