How To Treat Corn On Foot?

Hello, my name is Liam. I have had a corn on the outer side of my right foot for a few months now. I have tried numerous home remedies, but nothing has worked, and worse, I feel I may have worsened the situation. The corn is now just under the size of a dime, I'd soft and waxy, and bleeds quite perfusely if I accidentally break the outermost layer of the corn. I am not sure what to do, but I do have a routine checkup coming up in June. Should I get this looked at before then? Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM. In cases like yours, a corn can sometimes look and act very similar to a wart, with persistence, bleeding, and the size you described. The bleeding would probably be the best indicator, as you will see little pin-point areas of bleeding after the top layer is removed in the case of a wart. If this is the case, then applying topical wart remover medicine would be more effective than any corn treatment. It is still a good idea to have the area evaluated during a routine checkup, as you may need a stronger prescription strength topical.
