How To Treat Common Cold In A Child?

This is Gn,mi Mother of 2.5 yr old girl.
My daugher has cold form more than a week now. She had running nose in the beginning and i started givin Tminic syrup. Now One bottle is finished. But she still has cold and cough(more when she sleeps). Yesterday she again had fever and i gave calpol twice. Now she do not have fever. But she has sever cold. Can i start the Taxim -o Dry syrup 15g. If yes what should be the dosage.?

please do not start antibiotics unless prescribed by a physician,better to consult a pediatrician and get her evaluated and treated properly.
